A Long Day In Germany

We started the day off with such a wonderful breakfast. There was a variety of breads to choose from. Personally I loved eating a mini baguette like bread with butter and this special Swiss cheese which tasted so good. There was also a fruit salad which was eaten either alone or mixed into yogurt. It was really nice. It was a wonderful way to start a very long day.
After we all got ready, we went mini golfing. The walk was a bit long and we had to walk up hills so we were a bit tired by the end of it. Amy won the game and we realized that for some of us golf wasn't really our sport. The random hills made the game more hard but it was fun in general. It was interesting how we all went one at a time at each hole though. They didn't have different colored golf balls like we do in the States and because they were all white we went one at a time to save ourselves from confusion. Oh well though. It was still fun to go out with Linn and Alissa as well as their friend Anna who was really cool.
After the mini golf game, we headed into town. We got ice cream which was so good. I had a mix of After Eight (Their mint chocolate chip) and vanilla in a sundae that had whipped cream chocolate syrup and sprinkles. It was a lot like home. But it was still a lot of walking. This horse statue is actually at the beginning of their mini town. There are lots of stores and places to get food and just hang out.
On the walk we went all around town. We went to a place that was high up where we could see a lot of the town. The view was beautiful. We don't get to have a view like that in Downers Grove.
We walked home and got ready for the BBQ in the night. More walking to say the least. In the picture are Linn and Alissa holding hands. I figured out though that not all Germans wear leather jackets and jeans on a regular basis. They actually dress a lot like we do.
I have also noticed how Germans listen to the same music that we do. When we were listening to the radio when we woke up, most of the songs were ones that were popular in the United States. It shows how music really is universal and can bring together people from all over the years. It was really fun because either me or Amy would break out randomly into song and they would join in or vice versa. They are really good singers. As a matter of fact, Alissa sang at a wedding yesterday. That's her on the left.

These last three days have been really fun but now all I want to do is sit down and go to sleep after a long tiring day. For now alles ist gut in Germany!
